Steve & Will

This is my new favorite photo of William. I love the colors!
Connie gave this outfit to us at the very beginning of our pregnancy. I can't believe he can fit it!

Christmas Tree Hunting

With the addition of William into our lives I wanted to find a Christmas tree farm which would allow us to choose and cut our own tree (which was my family's tradition for many years-actually, my parents STILL follow tradition). I found three such sites and called each one. I thought that I had been discerning in my decision to suggest a site down in Colorado Springs, but was very sadly mistaken. Below, disappointed faces. Stephen had his iphone so we found the listing for Lucky Lure. When I made the initial phone call, the man on the other end was full of cheer- I had hope Christmas could be ushered in properly!
We convinced the group that we had an amazing experience at Lucky Lure last year and that we should head up to Evergreen, CO for our trees. Basically,we drove an hour south for a tree to begin with, were sorely disappointed, drove the hour back to Denver and then an hour up to Evergreen. A lot of work for a tree, but it was fun and the Christmas cheer was well worth the effort!
This 'tree farm' did not have trees that resembled Christmas trees. Actually, it seemed that the owner may be an opportunist! He had trees on his property and was selling them under the guise of being 'Christmas trees'.
The actual business on the property deals with alpacas.
Steve and I have a photo of us here last year- in fact- we re-shot a few photos so William could join us this year.

We missed you Brian and Nel!

If you look back to our photos from this time last year, we had a fantastic time with Brian and Nelisha finding the perfect Christmas tree at Lucky Lure in Evergreen, CO.

Thanksgiving

Here's the gang! Brian & Odette hosted Thanksgiving at their home again. We had such a great time last year, we looked forward to celebrating together again this year.
Steve was trying to get the lighting and camera setting just right. In doing so, he snapped many images. This particular image captures the essence of each individual!

Brian with Sara.
Cam has sworn he wouldn't hold a baby until it was at least six months old. William decided that napping really wasn't his thing for Thanksgiving and became a bit grumpy. Cam decided to try his hand at soothing a baby.

Bethany. Sara and Cam with Wheat Thins.
Liz and Laura. Liz had prepared Brie with honey, cherries, puff pastry and walnuts- really delicious!

Father and son
Doesn't he look like a stooge??? We stopped the stiff torture and resumed a faux-hawk by the end of the evening.

Friends

Will looks like a bishop or something! I love the furrowed brow! This was taken on his first walk.

Firsts

Will actually had a wee bit of style last Sunday! Steve has been incredible at finding fantastic hats on sale!
Will's first bottle! In preparation for leaving Will with my good friend Connie, we needed to make sure Will would receive his nutrients from a bottle. Yea!

Happy daddy!

William's Trip Home From The Hospital

We can't believe William is already one month old! Here are some pictures of our little Love Bug when we brought him home from the hospital.

He's outgrown this outfit already!

For Auntie Tamara- The Other Side Of William

Tamara- You mentioned Will is SO sweet in all the photos- there must be more- here it is- his crying in all its glory! I felt like a really mean mom recording this!

Laundry Baby

I needed to get some laundry folded, but wanted to chill with Will, so I made him cozy in our bed as I completed the chore. He's looking at himself in a lare mirror; though that may have little to do with why he's making that face. I love his punk rock hair! Mom and Dad- we DID in fact brush his hair after his bath today:)

Baby Belly!

Judging by his ever growing belly, I'd say William is a satisfied munchkin!

Parental Advisory: Newborn Video

Parental Advisory: Newborn Video Footage
The first video is William literally straight from the uterus- it shows them cleaning him up. There isn't any gore in the SECOND video, but it does show his naked little body and the nurses taking blood samples and removing goo from his mouth.

The funny thing about this video- I didn't know that I had blankets wrapped around my head and so generously draped over my body! The second video was taken in the recovery room.
